Skirts in Action Photos 2006

You can see I was elated and overjoyed to say the least. It was my 4th marathon and my most memorable to date. I cut 15 minutes from my previous marathon PR, and I qualified to run the BOSTON MARATHON with 5 minutes to spare!
I felt so great and confident throughout the entire race, and I know my FOONAVYBLU skirt had so much to do with it. I saw a few other women running with your skirt and when I came up next to them I'd say, "Hi Skirt!" They appeared to love theirs too.

Thanks for a wonderful product! I'll be running in your skirt at BOSTON.

Congrats to Becca!  First overall female at the Paris Mountain 20k race.

I love my running skirts!   They are so cute and so comfortable.  I never want to race in shorts again!  (I must admit that I also get a kick out of passing boys when I am wearing a girlie skirt. hehe!)   I wore my skirt this weekend when I ran the Paris Mountain 20k (my first 20k ever).

Thanks runningskirts.com!  Keep up the good work!

My friend Kelly and I love, love, love our running skirts.  This is a picture of us about mile 15 of the Nike Women's Marathon.  It was a great day, not only with the running skirts (we were the only ones out there and got soo many complements!), but it was 2 days after my 26th birthday (my 26.2 day!), so it was the perfect day for the marathon.  PLUS we were able to take part in an event which raised over $16 million for Team in Training which benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!  What an awesome pair!!!

I LOVE my running skirt!! I wear it for all my runs now. My best "skirt" day was October 29, 2006 when I ran the Marine Corps Marathon!!  I felt confident, comfortable and energized while wearing my running skirt! The pockets were perfect for holding sport beans and a few peppermint candies.  My dad and I ran the MCM together. It was my first marathon and my dad's 3rd. My husband never hesitates to send me out for my morning runs-he knows he'll get to see me looking great in my gorgeous skirt!

Thank you RunningSkirts!

 Palm Beach, FL half-marathon

"I finished 10 minutes faster than my goal time and felt great racing in my Running Skirt!   I'm planning to run a full marathon and wouldn't think of running in anything but my Running Skirt, I love it!  I'm particularly fond of the pockets and really appreciate that it isn't too long or high-waisted like most running clothes.  My Running Skirt fits perfectly.
Thanks for being a great company and selling a wonderful product :-)

Emily (wearing foonavyblu)

My sister Stacy and I ran our first half-marathon together last month. We both wore your skirts and got tons of compliments along the whole 13.1!!!  We trained together, which was interesting with 3 children between the two of us, raced together and had a blast together.  And all the while we were looking cute in our skirts.

Thanks for a great product.  We are sold!!

After my running buddy suggested I try one, I couldn’t resist.  I wore mine during the Boston ½ Marathon this October and absolutely loved it.  I’ll have to buy a different color for every race from this point on!  Thank you so much for making such a comfortable and cute skirt to run in.

I wore my skirt at the Chicago Marathon.  It was my first marathon and I heard so many shouts form the crowd, "LOVE YOUR SKIRT!!!" and, "Way to go pink skirt!!!"

Even though it was very cold, I still wore my skirt over my pants and was able to fit two gels in each pocket!  I am so glad I wore it because it was what people noticed when they were cheering me on!  I can't wait to buy more.

This is the second year our team, the Martini Mammas participated in the Women’s 5k Classic to benefit breast cancer.  For the first time this year there was a team competition, not only did we look hot in our pink skirts; we won the team competition!

Congrats to Cari & Jen, who both finished in the top 5 of their age categories too!

Skirts Are For Girls!

Running Skirts Understands What A Girl Wants.  Finally…a flattering, functional and comfortable running outfit.  Running Skirts are perfect for training runs to marathons….I can easily hold 4 energy gels, MP3 player, chap stick, and other girly-necessities in the side pockets with no weight drag or annoying bounce.  From a safety standpoint, I can easily hold my cell phone and pepper spay.  And talk about looking cute, the fit of the skirt hangs a little lower to give a longer silhouette.  The waist band fits the curves of a woman’s body…It’s tight enough to stay up during the run, but loose enough to be flattering.

I wore the Chocqua Running Skirt at the Portland Marathon.  Not only did I receive tons of compliments from spectators and runners alike, I had a personal best time.

Congrats JoAnne on your PR!  See you in Boston!

I love my running skirt!  It is so comfortable!  This is a picture of me running the 3rd mile at the Big Sur, CA Trail Marathon.  Notice that I am smiling because I am wearing such a hot skirt!  I am a mother of six boys and my only free time is running - thanks RunningSkirts!

Ginny, congrats on placing 6th overall, 2nd female & 1st A/G (wearing black&white)

I rocked my first marathon in Chicago with one of your awsome skirts.  The biggest decision I had to make was which color to wear.  Thanks to your quality product, I'll never race in shorts again!

Lisa (wearing seafoam snow)

I love my runningskirt!  I love it so much I bought my sister one so we could look super cute running our first half marathon!  Your skirts are so comfortable it makes running that much more fun!  we may not have been the fastest girls on the course, but we certainly strutted our stuff.  Thanks for such a great product!

Rock and Roll Half Marathon San Jose 2006

This is right before the Mackinac Island Great Turtle Half Marathon last weekend.  I love this skirt and I will never go back to my old frumpy boring shorts!  I got so many second glances and compliments.  Thanks for the awesome skirt!!!

Kathy (wearing pinkymaroon)

My friend Gretchen bought me a running skirt for my birthday, and now we often show up dressed like twins for our regular Wednesday run.   We brought a camera along for a recent rainig run in Los Gatos, California.  We ran to the top of St. Joseph's Hill, near Lexington Reservoir.  We attracted quite a bit of attention along the way (one woman told us we were upgrading the image of the trails!) and had a lot of fun along the way.

I have purchased skirts for friends as gifts.  They are more comfortable than any pair of shorts I own & look so cute!  They are definately the best skirt out there.  They are awesome!

"If I can't be fast, I'll be fab!

As for the skirts, I don't know why women who complain about shorts bunching don't just try the skirts.  they're great for comfort and  they draw a lot of attention. it makes a big difference, especially at the end."

I LOVE this running skirt!  I wore it proudly at the Twin Cities Marathon in Minneapolis this last weekend.  My first marathon ever and surely not my last.  You will be happy to know I spotted several other woman wearing your adorable running skirts through the streets of Minneapolis and St. Paul, it made it hard to decide which color to buy next.

"This photo was taken at the Virginia Happy Trails Running Club's (VHTRC) Women's Trail Half Marathon early in September.  This was my second year at this race, which is a really well organized and high-spirited event.  Open to only 250 women, the entries fill in less than a week!!!  I noted five runningskirts and one other brand skirt.  I was the oldest skirt-wearing runner.  Just turned 60 this summer and wanted to feel younger.  Your company offers a great product and great service.  Love all the new colors!"

I just started running last winter and love the runningskirts for the comfort, practicality (hold keys and iPod) and girly-girl style.  Wore the skirt today in a 5K at Yachats on the beautiful Oregon coast.

Ultra runner extraodinaire Beverly Anderson-Abbs at the Miwok 100k race. Congrats to Bev on another victory! 1st place Masters (3rd women overall!).

"I received the RunningSkirt just in time to take it to the MiWok 100k race in Marin.  I wore it and loved it.  Once I started running, I was thrilled with it.  The skirt feels wonderful.  I am always getting mad about how long shorts are in the front of the legs, the skirt doesn't cause any of the rubbing or annoyannce that I have with shorts!"

I love my new running skirt.  I placed first in my age group while wearing my new running skirt.  I want to believe it was due to my running abilities, not because the runners behind me were either enjoying the view or memorizing the website.  Nonetheless, since I got my skirt, my shorts have been collecting dust.

 Laurie (wearing chocopink)
Ever since I tried the runningskirts I have been 100% addicted to the skirts and tops…Just like being addicted to running. They are super comfortable and durable. And no they don’t ride up when you run. Mississauga marathons 20 mile per hour winds did not lift my skirt up. I wear my skirt  everyday running and get compliments from everyone. People stop me in the street and at races to tell me they love my outfit. I’m becoming a trendsetter. It feels pretty cool! One problem though, everyone wants to lift up my skirt to see how it looks like underneath. So I show them. I’m definitely not shy anymore!

Thanks, Cindy and Christy, for coming up with such a wicked product! I know everyone who tries it becomes completely hooked on it like me. I don’t ever wear shorts anymore. Shorts are for boys! Real girls wear skirts!

Congrats to Christina & Jeff recently married in Italy!!

"One of the weird things I insisted on was bringing my running skirts and being photographed in the different cities running around (you know like some people have a gnome that they take pictures of?)  We got a great one “Running Skirt in Monte Carlo” and “Running Skirt in Lake Como ”. I really wanted a “Running Skirt climbs an Alp” but Jeff said no…. too far…"

I wore the Running Skirt for the Broad Street 10 Mile Run through Philadelphia …and it proved to be great. The fit and comfort were unmatched! And it was stylish on top of that! Thanks for helping us ladies add comfort and style to our workout.

I LOVE all the runningskirts.com skirts and tops!  They are high-performance gear coupled with great style.  I'm training for another run, and now it is so much easier for me to get out there in the heat (90 degrees in the morning!) in my running skirts.  I am thrilled by the built-in underwear that breathe so nicely; others are more like bike shorts, and they ride up.  My husband teases me and says that when I wear them, I run faster and longer!  Who knows??  He could be right!  All I know is, I enjoy wearing them, I feel strong, fit and also girly, and they're great after a run, when I am are off to do errands or just grabbing some coffee.  This is exactly what women have needed for running!

Thank you so much!

 I LOVE MY RUNNING SKIRT!!!

I just ran the Mayor's Marathon in Anchorage, Alaska on June 17, 2006.

I loved the side pockets because I could fit 2 gels in each one!  No chaffing and so comfortable!  What more can I ask for?  I hate running in shorts because they always tend to creap up where you don't want them to!  The running skirt solved all my problems!  I will definetly run my next race in another running skirt!  Of course, I'm a novice runner and
am easily beaten!  But for my running skirt- IT CAN'T BE BEAT!
