Happy Running!

Over the last several years in the skirt business we have been proud to give back to  the running  and fitness communities around the globe whenever possible!   We are very passionate about supporting youth fitness programs, the fight against breast cancer, and the maintenance and preservation of our environmental parks & trails.....to name a few.

We'd like to thank our customers for their heartfelt letters  of request and charity suggestions and encourage you to keep them coming.  We have created this page as a way to share with our customers and also invite you to join us in supporting one of the very important causes or charities.   If you'd like to suggest a charity or organization for our consideration, please contact us today!

We will be featuring different charitable organizations and causes throughout the year that we believe (with the help of our very important customers) we can make a difference together in someone's life!  Please join us.

Thank you to all the RunningSkirts.com for the Cure team members for your support and assistance with fundraising for the fight against breast cancer.  Check out the video from the Barrie Run for the Cure 2008.

Dear Cindy & Christy,

I am writing to you in hopes that you might be able to help me.  My name is Stacie.  I have been running now for almost 3 years.
I started out just trying to lose weight and become healthy.  Now I can't imagine running not being a part of my life.  I am running my
3rd Portland Marathon on October 5, 2008.  The past two years I have been a charity runner.

This year it became more personal when my husbands best friend was struck by a train while trying to get a teenager he knew off of the railroad tracks.  The kid made it but Brian was hit as my husband and several others watched.  He survived but was left as a quadriplegic.  Brian Conrad has been an active father and husband who has always gone out of his way to help a friend or neighbor.  He has continued to have the same strength and determination with his recovery.

His positive attitude is amazing. Brian and his wife, Susie, have 5 wonderful children.  Brianna(14), Katrina(12), Andrew(10), Jenna(8) and Quinton who just turned one.

Brian and his family have touched so many lives, including my own.  I am trying to get sponsors and donations that will go towards Brian's
medical bills and other expenses.  There has been a lot of work put into making his home wheelchair accessible.  I know that you probably
get e-mails like this all of the time but I wanted to try.   I am doing this all on my own.  My entry fee and all other expenses
leading up to this are mine along with the fundraising time and supplies.   I know that a cash donation isn't always possible.  Any
donation or help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the link to my official fundraising page for Brian.
