Running Skirts in Action Customer Reviews January 2008

They were tryin' hard,  but......................

But they just couldn't catch this skirt! I've PR'd in every race since I started wearing your skirts, it must be a sign!

Comment or Quote about you photo & running skirts:
Ran my first 5k this fall, 3 months post-chemotherapy and radiation.   Yeah!!  I've been a fan of your running skirts. However, this year at  age 40, after losing a breast to cancer and my hair to chemotherapy, I will always run with a skirt ( and earrings)! As I told my physical therapist when he commented on my styling running skirts, when you lose your breast and your hair, you've "gotta work the skirt." Thanks to great great medical care, I was able to run throughout my chemo,  and thanks to your skirt, I was able to look (and much more importantly, feel) feminine the whole time.

 2008 Disney World Half Marathon

Our mini-dot running skirts were a huge hit!

We had more runners than I can count on the course ask us where we got such cute skirts and tell us what a wonderful idea it was to wear the themed skirt during the Disney festivities! Even one of the male runners joked about having the same skirt at home but was glad he didn't wear it for that day since it looked way better on us :)

I have no doubt that wearing the mini-dot skirt helped us get through the race because of all of the support and cheers we got from runners and spectators alike....everyone cheered "GO MINNIES!" and it was such an adrenaline booster.

We had such a great time and have so many fun pictures to remember this amazing weekend. Hope you enjoy the ones I have attached. Thanks for the awesome skirt.....can't wait for the next race!

I ordered my first skirt two weeks before my first marathon, which happened to be at Walt Disney World in Florida this past Sunday on January 13th.

I loved the skirt and my 19 year old daughter said I looked really cute in it.   I wore the athletic skirt which is perfect for my 48 year old body.  I finished in 4 hours and 28 minutes!

I intend to collect running skirts!  :)

Thank you again!

We just wrapped up our Winter 2008 for the Central Florida Team in Training with the completion of the Disney Half & Full marathons at Walt Disney World.  Most of the 36 ladies who bought skirts d from you wore their skirts on race day.

I am proud to saywe have quite a few skirt converts now who will not run in anything else.  I have attached a group picture we took before a training run earlier in the season if you would like to use it on the website.

I also have attached pictures from my Goofy Challenge, the Half and the Full back to back. I wore the Minnie-Dot for the Half and the Black/Grape for the Full.  My team would have been disappointed if I had not run in the skirts since I  wore them most of the season during training!

I am mentoring another team for the Spring/Summer season which starts February 2. Most of the team is going to do RnR San Diego,  we will be sure to wear our skirts!

Thank you for your support this past season and I look forward to
working with you again during the upcoming season.

I made it and am still alive after Goofy…lots of stories will share later/sooner.

I friend of mine on the Hood 2 Coast team I run with every year loved my skirts this last year and was reminded of them when she ran AZ’s RnR and saw them out on the course.

Thanks RunningSkirts

 OC Half Marathon – January 6, 2008

I love wearing runningskirts during both training runs and races.  They are MOST comfortable and way more stylish than the frumpy unisex shorts of yesteryear!  Happier running!

I ran my first marathon this weekend (Jan 5).

It was the Mississippi Blues Marathon in Jackson, MS.  I didn't set any land speed records (5:22:32), but I did finish!

My skirt was the perfect coverage over my tights.  I'm hooked... on both marathons and your skirts!

I LOVE running in your skirts so with this New Year's race I threw it over my sub-zero pants and the skirt was a huge hit! My whole running group is considering ordering them!!

I really do run faster in my Running Skirt!

I will wear it when I do my first marathon in Huntington Beach Ca. in February!

My husband and I were on a cruise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.  On one of the days out at sea, the cruise line hosted a Walk For The Cure one mile walk on board the ship!  I was not aware this event was to take place until we were on the ship.  I just happened to have my pinky-pink running skirt with me!  Perfect!

Pictured with me is the cruise director, Ryan.

I just got back from my first marathon. The Athens Classic in Greece. It was an AMAZING and unforgetable experience.
I laughed, smiled, cheered and cried. At 17km into the 42.2km my legs began severely cramping. I ran through the pain until 33km when I finally collapsed on the road. Little kids lined the side of the road and gave me high fives and cheered me on until I stood up again. I was running this marathon for my grandmother who passed away from arthritis. I knew I had to finish for her. It was a small sacrifice to make for what she endured. After 6 hours and 58 minutes I carried the Canadian flag across the finish line, barely putting one foot in front of the other. My team was there waiting for me cheering me on. Sheer determination and love got me there, but my running skirt sure made me look
good along the way!
(keep up the cute skirts!)
Sincerely,
Jen (wearing black & white)

Every year for our Birthday my sister gives us our out fit for Falmouth Road race.  We had more complements on our running skirts than any other year!  We may not run fast but we still get out there and do 7.1 miles (16th year) and this year we looked great!  Thanks for sisters, best friends and running skirts!

Hi Cindy and Christy!

I just wanted to send a picture of me crossing the finish line after race walking my FIRST marathon in Disney World!  I was having trouble finding shorts that I liked.  I ordered an athletic running skirt at the last minute and it was the best decision I ever made!  LOVED IT!  I plan on wearing one in my next marathon too!

Thank you!

Comments about your runningskirt gear?  Really comfortable - even when running through unexpected water obstacle just outside Waterford City!
