Skirts in Action May 2008

I  wanted to send a picture of me in my navy athletic skirt, around mile 10 in the Big Sur marathon on April 27, 2008. I loved running (and goofing around) in my skirt! It was comfortable throughout the race and never bunched up or got in the way. Thank you for making such great gear!

Hi!

My sister and I just did the Colorado Marathon and Half Marathon in Ft. Collins, Colorado on May 4th. It was our first race wearing your skirts and I just *loved* running in it.

It kept me cool under the hot Colorado sun and comforable with how lightweight skirts are and the outside pockets are great, they held my much needed Gu's!  I'm sure how cute my skirt was helped me have a Marathon PR of 23 minutes.

I'm attaching a picture of me running the full marathon in your black and grape skirt and Kim in her black and black skirt running her FIRST half marathon (doesn't she look happy?) and then the two of us at thefinish line together.

Thanks for such a great product and the great customer service.  I'mwondering what color I should wear for my Fall Marathon.... Decisions,
decisions. :)

Here is a picture of me at the Indianapolis Mini Marathon.  When this picture was taken I had a tenth of a mile left to go!  I loved running in my skirt!  It was a hot and humid day and the skirt was perfect!!!

I ran the 13.1 miles in 2:08:57.

I LOVE My running skirt!

I got it for my recent 32nd Birthday.

I came in 5th at this half marathon in Fayetteville, AR. Tough run but the skirt took away some of the pain!

Comments about your runningskirt gear? I was the happiest runner on the course because of my comfy and stylish running skirt!

Avenue of the Giants Half Marathon— Humboldt County , California .  This was such an amazing run through the canopy of “Giants”—these redwood trees were absolutely glorious and amazing.  I set a personal best on this course and could not have had a better race on that day.  42 degrees, surrounded by other people who share my passion, running an uphill climb 6.5 miles out and then coming back through the path of shade winding through the forest.  This is such a wonderful race and one I hope to repeat in the future!

Comments about your runningskirt gear?

I am hooked…they are all I run in now.  Ultra comfortable with no constricting waistband and a perfectly constructed liner.  I love the colors and they make me feel very fast—it is like I am not wearing anything and nothing is restricting my legs.  Great designs!

Hi gals!

Had the best time running in Boston this year and I wish you were there. It was so great to see Val on the course in her runningskirt, too! I also saw quite a few other runningskirt.com skirts along the way to Boylston Street. I have to say that once AGAIN your skirt brought me good luck and I PR'd. Thanks so much!!!

The pix is one of my sister, Sue Voorhees, and I in our athletic skirts celebrating our finish in Disney’s Minnie Marathon 5K race on May 3, 2008 at Epcot.  We ran as a Sister-Sister team called "Dutch Treat".  (Sue is wearing a brown athletic skirt; I have the black one on.)  We love them!

Rotorua marathon - one of the hardest kiwi marathons

Comments about your runningskirt gear?  It may not have made me faster but it did make the run more fun. You could hear people thinking "i've been passed by a skirt". I also got heaps of comments about the skirt because you don't see them in New Zealand

Just wanted to thank you again for quickly sending my running skirt to me so that I could wear it for the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Here are a few pictures of my skirt in action!

My sister, who is running with me in the pictures, was very jealous of my skirt at around mile 5 when her shorts were bugging her!

Hello,

This is me with my Mom at the Iron Girl 5k in Denver.  I ran the race (10 weeks pregnant!) and Mom cheered us on.

  Cindy and Christy,

I recently 'took the plunge' and ordered a running skirt from your website. I have never had any luck with running skirts; they bunched up, the compression shorts were never tight enough, the fabric was too stiff, no pockets, etc. Then I found your site...

I got my skirt yesterday and sadly, I had already put in 8 miles. At 6 am today, I was chomping at the bit to get out and get my run in in my new skirt! I was a bit uncertain due to my bad experiences in the past but I pleasantly surprised. I didn't have to adjust, tug, twist or jerk on the skirt at ALL!!

Thank you so much for making so a fantastic product. I will be bragging about your products on the running forums I frequent (RunningAhead, Amity, MamaDrama and my local track club site). I hope all the women take advantage of your sale and grab one (or more!!) of your fantastic skirts!

Just wanted to send you a picture in our skirts.  They were perfect for the marine Historic Half in VA.

Thanks again!!!!!

The Woody’s RV Marathon in Red Deer is like a trail run – you run on bike paths, gravel and a bit of asphalt by the river and golf course. The scenery is gorgeous!

As always, I enjoyed wearing my skirt – it stayed put, even in some of the windy sections!

Thanks,

Dianne (wearing navypumpkin)

Here I am at mile 4 of the Bayshore Marathon, May 2008.

Thanks!

Attached is a photo of a couple of ladies from my running group USA Fit Gwinnett (formerly USA Fit Atlanta).  We just finished a 5K race in Dacula, GA where it is already getting hot out, but we are cool and comfy in our skirts!  Even the guys in our group joke about how they feel left out because they aren’t a part of the “skirt group”.

We are hooked on Running Skirts!  They are the best!
